No. BBL HEROic uses BroadBand Light (BBL), a form of intense pulsed light that targets pigmentation, redness and sun damage.
Most patients return to normal activities immediately. You may experience mild warmth or redness for a few hours afterwards, similar to mild sunburn.
BBL HEROic can be used across a range of skin types, but suitability and treatment settings must be assessed individually by a clinician. Treatment cannot be performed on tanned or sunburned skin, and darker skin types require particularly careful assessment.
Many patients see visible improvement after a single session, though a course of 3–6 sessions gives the best long-term results for sun damage and pigmentation. Course discounts are available.
